Al-Quran, sebagai kitab suci dalam Islam, mengandungi petunjuk dan ajaran Allah kepada manusia. Salah satu aspek Al-Quran yang menarik ialah hubungan antara ajaran agama dan pemahaman sains, termasuk matematik. Terdapat ayat-ayat dalam al-Quran yang menunjukkan pengetahuan Allah tentang konsep matematik. Sebagai contoh, dalam Surah Ar-Ra'd (13:2), Allah menerangkan kitaran langit, matahari dan bulan menggunakan konsep matematik seperti orbit dan gerakan berkala. Selain itu, terdapat ayat-ayat dalam Al-Quran yang mengandungi bilangan dan perhitungan. Sebagai contoh, dalam Surah Al-Hajj (22:47), Allah menjelaskan bahawa satu hari di sisi-Nya bersamaan dengan seribu tahun manusia. Ayat ini mengajar bahawa konsep matematik seperti perbandingan dan pengiraan boleh digunakan untuk memahami kebesaran Allah. Al-Quran juga menekankan kepentingan ilmu dan pemahaman yang mendalam. Allah mengajak manusia merenungkan ciptaan-Nya, mengkaji alam semesta, dan mencari ilmu. Dalam Surah Ali-Imran (3:190), Allah menyatakan bahawa tanda-tanda kekuasaan-Nya terlihat pada penciptaan langit, bumi, dan silih bergantinya malam dan siang. Ayat ini menggalakkan manusia menggunakan akal dan mengembangkan ilmu termasuk matematik. Secara keseluruhan, Al-Quran mengandungi petunjuk yang menghubungkan Allah sebagai Pencipta dengan sains, termasuk matematik. Ayat-ayat dalam al-Quran mendedahkan pengetahuan Allah tentang konsep matematik dan menggalakkan manusia untuk mengkaji dan merenung ciptaan-Nya. Memahami Al-Quran boleh menjadi asas yang kukuh untuk menghayati kebesaran Allah melalui pemahaman dan aplikasi matematik.

Percambahan pesat aplikasi media sosial membawa kemungkinan baharu bagi organisasi bukan untung untuk berkomunikasi dan melibatkan diri dengan orang ramai. Dunia kerajaan tempatan mempunyai objektif berterusan untuk melibatkan rakyat dalam keputusan awam dan kehidupan awam. Amalan ini, dikenali sebagai penglibatan awam. Media sosial boleh menjadi alat penyertaan dan penglibatan, iaitu penyampaian maklumat melalui media sosial yang bertujuan untuk menggalakkan penyertaan dan penglibatan orang ramai dengan memberikan komen, maklum balas, dan input kepada agensi kerajaan. Interaksi jenis ini boleh berbentuk komunikasi awam, apabila maklumat disampaikan daripada kerajaan kepada rakyat, dan penyertaan awam, apabila rakyat terlibat secara aktif dalam perbincangan awam dan terdapat aliran maklumat dua hala. Dalam kajian ini, penyelidik menganalisis tahap penglibatan orang ramai dengan amalan kementerian di Malaysia dan mengira kadar penglibatan setiap kementerian melalui Facebook, platform media sosial untuk berkongsi isu semasa dalam dan luar negara Penyelidikan ini dijalankan selama 8 bulan. dari 1 Mac 2021, hingga 31 Oktober 2021. Melalui formula baharu bagi pengukuran Kadar Penglibatan, keputusan menunjukkan 13 akaun daripada 27 akaun Facebook kementerian menerima kualiti Kadar Penglibatan yang rendah, bermakna 77.78% akaun Facebook kementerian tidak dapat untuk mengoptimumkan akaun Facebook mereka untuk mendapatkan penglibatan daripada pengikut mereka.

In this era of globalization, the investment sector in Malaysia such as investing in stocks is growing rapidly day by day. This involves not only businessmen, but also household investors in the stock market, and it has become very widespread in Malaysia. This is due to the transparency of publicly listed firms' reporting requirements, as well as the most comprehensive and sophisticated technology and software for online trading. The methodology that was used for this study focuses on the second data which is the historical stock price of 3 shariah-compliance companies. Harmonic pattern screening is being used for stock trend indicators. At the same time, Python coding is applied to form the harmonic pattern and compare the pattern with the extremes in real-time. The results demonstrate the behaviour of stock performance on the shariah-compliant capital market in Malaysia by using harmonic pattern analysis. Despite from that, this research uses a Python program to implement a bullish pattern that has five points and reads each of them as the value of an extrema, starting with point X and moving on to points A, B, C, and D. In addition, this analysis found that the most frequent pattern that has a higher possibility of occurring beyond of stock performance is the bullish bat pattern.

Trials and tribulations come to everyone’s life in many shapes and forms. This issue is discussed sytematically and at length in the field of Islamic faith (ʿaqīdah), Islamic sufism (taṣawwuf), Islamic thought (al-Fikr al-Islāmiyy). Among treatises of classical Islam which touches this issue is Kitab Fawā’id al-Balwā wa al-Miḥan (The Benefits of Trials and Tribulations) by Sulṭān al-Ulamā’ Al- ʿIzz ʿAbd al-ʿAziz Ibn ʿAbd Al-Salām al-Ashʿariyy al-Shāfiʿiyy al-Dimashqiyy of the 6th/7th AH or 12th/13th CE. This article provides the introduction to the intellectual biography of Al-ʿIzz ʿAbd al- ʿAziz Ibn ʿAbd Al-Salām, introduction to the treatise: Kitab Fawā’id al-Balwā wa al-Miḥan, English translation of this treatise, and discussion of its contents. This treatise of Al-ʿIzz ʿAbd al- ʿAziz Ibn ʿAbd Al-Salām is a worth reading and exploring by all Muslims and non-Muslims. This treatise provides important points, proofs, and short explanations in understanding the benefits of trial and tribulation in human life from the Islamic perspective

Artikel ini melihat budaya hedonisme yang menular dalam kalangan remaja Muslim di Malaysia dan langkah-langkah pendidikan akhlak menurut perspektif Islam. Artikel ini menjadikan kitab Penawar Bagi Hati karangan Syeikh Abdul Qadir al-Mandili sebagai panduan langkah-langkah pendidikan dan pentarbiahan akhlak bagi mendepani budaya hedonisme di dalam masyarakat Malasyia yang dilihat semakin membimbangkan. Penulisan ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif deskriptif melalui analisis dokumen terhadap penulisanpenulisan para ulama turath dan kontemporari yang berkaitan, secara khususnya kitab Penawar Bagi Hati. Penulis mendapati bahawa budaya hedonisme yang dibawa masuk ke negara ini adalah mengikut acuan barat telah merosakkan nilai-nilai murni, adab serta budaya Masyarakat Melayu yang diwarisi sejak sekian lama. Pengawasan akhlak para remaja Muslim adalah sangat perlu dititiberatkan dengan jalan kembali kepada peninggalan keilmuan para ulama Islam melalui karya-karya mereka yang telah menggariskan kaedah-kaedah pendidikan dan pentarbiahan akhlak seorang Muslim. Antara contoh yang terbaik ialah kitab Penawar Bagi hati karya Syeikh Abdul Qadir al-Mandili yang telah mempersiapkan panduan serta metodologi yang perlu diikuti oleh masyarakat Melayu di rantau ini dalam mendepani apa jua aliran pemikiran serta budaya yang tidak selari dengan konsep akhlak Islam.

An Unexpected increase in life expectancy and low mortality rates for old people has lead Malaysia to be an ageing nation. As the ageing issue has gained prominence as mortality rates, study on the mortality rates and modelling these rates is significant so that the government and private sectors can prepare immediately and adequately for the specific needs of the aged such as the health care and retirement plan. However, modelling the mortality rates for old age is challenging as the mortality data often exhibit irregular patterns due to randomness and uncertainties. Several mortality models have been formulated to model the death rates. This research applies seven mortality models to the Malaysian mortality data from the years 2010 to 2016. The results show that the model established by Khaliludin et. al (2021) significantly improves Malaysian mortality estimation for old age in terms of accuracy and prediction performance, as well as its ability to capture important mortality features such as accident hump, mortality crossover, and deceleration of mortality at old ages.

This study examines the mediating role of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices in the relationship between Total Quality Management (TQM) and job satisfaction among Ras Al Khaimah Police officers. TQM is a comprehensive approach aimed at improving quality at all levels of an organization, while job satisfaction is a critical factor for employee motivation and performance. The study focuses on the specific context of Ras Al Khaimah Police and aims to explore how HRM practices mediate the relationship between TQM and job satisfaction. The study utilizes a quantitative research design and collects data through surveys administered to Ras Al Khaimah Police officers. The survey measures TQM practices, HRM practices, and job satisfaction levels. Statistical analysis techniques, such as correlation analysis and mediation analysis, are employed to examine the relationships between the variables. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights into the mediating role of HRM practices in the relationship between TQM and job satisfaction among Ras Al Khaimah Police officers. It is hypothesized that effective HRM practices will enhance the positive impact of Total Quality Management on job satisfaction. The study contributes to the existing literature by investigating the specific context of police officers and highlighting the importance of HRM practices in enhancing job satisfaction within a TQM framework.

The present research deals with Contemporary Ijtehad as Requirement for Muslim Judges in Islamic Judicial System (Pakistan as a Case Study) or qualification of a judge in the Islamic Judicial System, whether he must fulfill all the qualifications of Mujtahid or not. The Islamic judicial system is theoretically and practically being considered distinguished from conventional judicial system on the basis of principle difference of ultimate sovereignty. The sovereignty of Allah Almighty is considered the ultimate sovereignty in an Islamic judicial system and therefore, the laws for individual and society is made under the divine guidance, while in conventional states the sovereignty lies in the hands of human beings. In conventional states, these are the men who have to make laws in their understanding and opinion, however in an Islamic state; man is religiously bound to don’t prefer their opinion over the divine law.

Islamic banking industry has been established for almost fifty years since 1970s. Although an Islamic bank still makes up only a fraction of the banking assets of Muslims, it has been growing faster than projected. The Shariah based concept, products and services provided have been well accepted worldwide. However, there still lack of discussion on how Islamic banks adopted all the Islamic ethical principles in performing their CSR. The paper aims to discuss the CSR concept from Islamic perspective. It is a conceptual attempt to discuss on how Islamic principles can influence the Islamic banks to the implementation of CSR. The religious characteristics that acted as a foundation for the establishment of Islamic banking are expecting to have an influence on corporate social responsibility. For that reason, the paper examines and analyse the relevant literature on Islamic bank and CSR discussions. The paper finds that, Islamic principle has a strong influence of CSR practice among Islamic banks. Thus, it is expected that the Islamic banks should be more proactive in CSR practice rather than conventional bank in fulfilling its religious obligation and their exemplary as a financial intermediary. Our study offers an original contribution to Islamic banking literature by develops a link between Islamic banking and Islamic ethical principle in CSR practice.

This study explores the CSR disclosure practices of the Islamic banks in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries during the period 2016 - 2020 and examines its effects on firm value. Based on Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) Governance Standard No. 7 guidelines and using content analysis, the paper develops a comprehensive CSR disclosure index for GCC Islamic banks. The study applies the ordinary least squares regression analysis for the hypothesis testing and for finding its effect of respective dependent variables. The results show a very low level of CSR disclosure among the sample Islamic banks in GCC countries. For the economic consequences of CSR disclosure, the study documents an inverse performance effect of CSR disclosure while board size, board composition and CEO duality indicate significant positive effects on firm value. The relatively small sample size of GCC Islamic banks may limit the application of the findings to other Islamic Financial Institutions such as Takaful and the Islamic Unit Trust Company. The findings of this study initiate the global debate on the need for corporate governance reform in Islamic banks by providing insights on the role played by corporate governance mechanisms in encouraging and enhancing CSR disclosure practices among Islamic banks. The findings also have important implications for investors, managers, regulatory bodies, policy makers and Islamic banks in the GCC countries. The results of the study do not support the idea that Islamic banks operating on Islamic principles can meet their social responsibilities through promoting CSR activities and by differentiating themselves from non-Islamic banks. This is the first study to examine the CSR disclosure in GCC Islamic banks using comprehensive CSR disclosure and corporate governance variables and, therefore, adds value to the existing CSR literature in banking.

Gelatin provides marshmallows with their characteristic soft and fluffy texture. Many people are aware that gelatin can be derived from sources like porcine (pork). Since pork is considered haram (forbidden) in Islam, Muslims are prohibited from consuming products containing gelatin-sourced. To address these concerns, some manufacturers offer alternative options, such as marshmallows made with gelatin from bovine sources or plant-based ingredients like agar-agar or carrageenan. Additionally, some companies produce vegan marshmallows that do not contain any animal-derived ingredients. Clear labeling and ingredient transparency are important for consumers to make informed choices about the products they purchase, especially when considering religious requirements. In some cases, individuals seek authentication or verification labels to ensure that the gelatin used in products aligns with their dietary, religious, or cultural preferences, in our case Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) halal certification.

Recently, biogenic amines (BA) have become an interest to many researchers along with the development of modern technologies as well as analytical methods to determine the compounds. BA is one of the most important components in food as an indicator of freshness especially histamine due to its capability to cause health issues and food intoxication. In many sensing applications, the development of biosensor electrodes has been widely used towards this discovery. The latest advances are in the utilization of carbon nanomaterials in biosensor electrodes and enzymatic methods for electro-analytical sensing devices. The studies in quantifying the amounts of BA have been widely investigated as its level content can determine the quality and safety of food presence today. Hence, this paper will be focusing on the determination of BA using modified carbon nanomaterials biosensors electrodes.

Gifted and Talented Student (GTS) refers to student with diverse potential and vary in term of their nature and abilities. Despite of privileges having multiple abilities, GTS often faces challenges in identifying and pursuing a career path that aligns with their diverse interests and abilities which referred to as multipotentiality. Various related studies have been conducted by previous researchers, both quantitatively and qualitatively, but less reference has been made to intervention studies on module development. Hence, this research is attended to develop a module in assisting GTS with their career decision. The basic foundation in developing this module are based on two theories namely Holland RIASEC Theory (1997) and Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligence (1999). The sample of this study consist of GTS from one of the Gifted High School in Negeri Sembilan. This study will adopt the design and development research (DDR) and guided by the ADDIE model. Phases in ADDIE Model involved in this research are need analysis, design phase, development phase, implementation phase and evaluation phase. This module will be conducted by falitators in assisting students in making career decisions. It is hoped that this study will provide guidance in supporting career aspirations among GTS and help expanding students’ potential.

The aim of this paper is to explore experience of Malaysian elders on financial abuse within families from the perspective of Islam. Currently there is no uniformity in definition of financial exploitation of older persons. Commonly, World Health Organization defined it as ‘the illegal or improper use of an older person’s cash or other resources’. Evidence from Quran and Hadith has clearly described the demands from children for good treatment and highest respect to parents. This paper discussed the application of Quran and Sunnah through a case study to explore the understanding of financial abuse of older people by their own adult children. The study is a part of a qualitative study, conducted using phenomenology study design via an in-depth interview with the older adults who were purposively sampled through purposive and snowball approach. The NVivo 12 analysis software was used to analyse the thematic analysis. The paper concludes that Islamic perspective contributes to the understanding of the occurrences of financial abuse in families. It provides insight on why Islam encourages good family values in family institution and provides recommendations in practice to reduce the problem.

Integrasi ilmu Naqli dan Aqli merupakan model pendidikan yang diimplementasikan oleh Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) dengan menerapkan elemen-elemen yang memenuhi keperluan fizikal dan rohani. USIM merupakan satu-satunya institusi pengajian tinggi di Malaysia yang mengetengahkan konsep ini secara komprehensif dalam semua kursus yang ditawarkan sejak awal penubuhannya lagi termasuklah kursus Al-Mabadik Al-Fiqhiyyah yang wajib diambil oleh pelajar Tamhidi Syariah dan Undang-Undang pada semester pertama mereka di Pusat Tamhidi. Subjek tersebut mengandungi pengetahuan asas tentang ilmu Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh dan Qawaid Fiqhiyyah, iaitu tiga cabang ilmu yang berkait rapat dengan ilmu perundangan dan syariah Islam. Oleh itu, analisis ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji persepsi pelajar terhadap elemen Naqli dan Aqli yang terdapat dalam kursus tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui borang kaji selidik yang diedarkan kepada 114 orang responden yang sedang mengikuti program tamhidi syariah dan undang-undang pada semester kedua lagi membolehkan proses perbandingan keputusan pencapaian mereka dalam kursus tersebut pada semester sebelumnya dilaksanakan. Kajian menunjukkan hasil yang positif apabila majoriti pelajar bersetuju bahawa mereka memperolehi faedah yang banyak melalui kursus Al-Mabadik Al- Fiqhiyyah yang menerapkan konsep integrasi Naqli dan Aqli. Mereka juga berpendapat bahawa subjek tersebut penting dalam pembentukan watak dan sahsiah mereka. Hal ini kerana elemen Naqli dan Aqli telah diselitkan dalam setiap topik yang dipelajari melalui kursus ini dan para pelajar dapat memahaminya dengan baik melalui contoh-contoh yang diberikan. Kajian juga membuktikan bahawa sebahagian besar mereka memperakui bahawa elemen Naqli dan Aqli dalam kursus Al-Mabadik Al-Fiqhiyyah mempunyai hubung kait dengan Kursus Undang-Undang yang dipelajari di pusat tamhidi dan menyedari terdapat keunikan dalam ilmu Fiqh berbanding undang-undang sivil. Akhir sekali, kajian mendapati hampir keseluruhan pelajar mengakui bahawa kursus ini menepati roh USIM sebagai sebuah universiti yang menerajui integrasi ilmu Naqli dan Aqli. Kesimpulannya, elemen Naqli dan Aqli yang diterapkan di dalam setiap kursus yang ditawarkan oleh USIM tidak wajar dipandang enteng dan wajib diberi perhatian bagi merealisasikan Pelan Strategik USIM untuk menjadi Pusat Rujukan Integrasi Ilmu Naqli dan Aqli bukan sahaja di peringkat serantau malah di peringkat antarabangsa.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the influence of human resource management practices on job satisfaction among academics in a Malaysian higher education institution. A pilot study was carried out on a sample of 144 academics in a higher education institution. The respondents included a wide range of university faculties, departments and academic units in the participating university. A 30-item scale developed by Halid et al. (2020) and Hauret et al. (2020) were designed to measure human resource management practices and a 3-item scale developed by Noor (2013) was used to measure job satisfaction. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25.0 were used to analyze the data and provided descriptive, correlation and regression analyses. Human resource management practices of recruitment, selection, training and development, performance appraisal, reward, recognition and promotion opportunities were significantly and positively related to job satisfaction. The results and statistical analysis of the current study could be a reference to indicate the effects of human resource management practices on job satisfaction among academics in Malaysian Higher Education Institutions. This study made a significant contribution of human resource management practices and the current state of job satisfaction in Malaysian higher education particularly in the public sector. In light of the findings, it is worth considering that at the organizational level, there are a number of actions that can be adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and the university management to increase and maintain the job satisfaction among academic staff in regards to its antecedents of human resource management practices. The study is also expected to provide useful reference for future researchers in this research area.

This article discusses how digitalization has become a driving force for economic and social progress in Malaysia, particularly in creating new opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to expand their market reach and enhance productivity. The article emphasizes the importance of creating a business model that incorporates the appropriate strategy, processes, and infrastructure to succeed in the digital economy. The article also examines the advantages of digital technology and data, and how they streamline corporate operations and enhance productivity and efficiency. The article proposes a conceptual framework based on existing models and identifies four gaps that can support the digitalization process in SMEs more effectively. Overall, this article highlights the significance of embracing digitalization in today's entrepreneurial environment to create new opportunities for SMEs and enhance their competitiveness in the global market.

Industri kewangan Islam telah bertapak di Malaysia sejak 6 dekad yang lalu dan Malaysia adalah negara yang mempelopori sistem kewangan Islam di rantau Asia Tenggara. Ini telah menjadikan Malaysia sebagai hub kewangan Islam. Terdapat pelbagai produk dan perkhidmatan yang ditawarkan oleh institusi dan pasaran kewangan Islam bagi memenuhi keperluan kewangan rakyat Malaysia. Walau bagaimanapun didapati tahap literasi kewangan Islam di kalangan rakyat Malaysia masih lagi rendah. Oleh itu tujuan kertas kerja konsep ini adalah untuk membincangkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi literasi kewangan Islam di Malaysia iaitu pengetahuan, kesedaran, sikap dan tingkah laku kewangan Islam.

The world today is facing numerous environmental impacts and disasters due to climate change. In several studies, the researchers found that during Covid-19 pandemic, there was a sudden reduction of carbon footprint. The government at their best has formulated new policies and campaigned to meet the needs of the new normal. This contributes to environmental healing when there is lesser carbon emission from vehicles, workplace and industrial areas. This paper employs desk research by analysing several literatures, related laws and policies to see whether flexibility of working hours may possibly mitigate the impact of climate change due to reduction in carbon footprint. At present, the policies relating to the new normal are seen to be relevant as most of the public and private sector are still implementing the hybrid approach especially in scheduling online meetings and activities. Therefore, the government sector is seen to be the best medium to promote flexibility of working hours to reduce carbon emission that ultimately could mitigate the impact of climate change and disaster. In Islam, harm must be eliminated thus, all kinds of efforts in reducing carbon should be promoted.

The use of information and communication technology in the world of Education continues to develop various strategies and patterns. In higher education, e-learning is gaining more impact in teaching and learning that can be practiced in many ways. The advantages of developing and implementing e-learning in education increased learning effectiveness and flexibility, and much easier for teachers and students. Biodiversity is one of the Biology’s topic that need a lot of reading to be memorize by students. This innovation aims to develop a web-based system by using wix.com known as Interactive Biodiversity with INAQ (i- BioDi). INAQ is the Integration of Naqli and Aqli, also included to the related contents with the interactive learning memorizing tools such as mind maps, videos, and games. This website will be used as a hub for the biology subject for foundation students in Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). While we acknowledge the importance of memorizing at this level of study, we have tried to focus our approach more toward understanding and explaining the rationale underlying many concepts of Biology. This website can also become a suitable reference for Malaysian Matriculation Programme, Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), and A-Level as well as any other pre-university Biology course. In this innovation, the Rapid Application Development was adapted as the development methodology. By using this interactive learning website, it will be more enjoyment and can helps the students to memorize using the interactive learning tools, learn and study the contents of the topic with element of INAQ.
